Pinwheel card
This pinwheel card is simple but fun. Who doesn't like a pinwheel? They remind me of summer breezes, fun and laughing. I decided to use a plain background and a colorful two sided paper to make my pinwheel. Simply cut the paper to fit your cardstock and attach with adhesive. I always cut paper to put on the inside of the card also, just to make it seem more complete. Next make your pinwheel by cutting your square as seen in the photo below, the black lines are cut lines. I think I started with a 2 inch by 2 inch square, but you can play around and decide what size you want.Punch small holes in the corners and the middle. The placements of the holes are the most important part, it took me many tries to figure that part out. Fold the outside hole to the middle hole, then insert the brad that will make the pinwheel.
I also punched a hole in the end of the paper straw so that the pinwheel will be attached to the straw before adhering it to the card. All that is left is to stamp your sentiment and ta-da, a pinwheel birthday card.
This same method may be used to make pinwheels for party decorations or cupcake toppers.
