Adornit project

Yesterday I posted on the Facebook page a photo of the materials I was going to use to create something crafty. The photo contained one sheet of double sided paper, ribbon, coloring cards and three wooden flowers all from Adornit. Here are the complete projects. I made a card, a gift tag and a pillow box with tag attached.

Here is a closer look at the card. I just love it. The paper was double sided and I used both sides on the card. I used the black ribbon with flowers to add some contrast and I think it makes a bold statement. The card was colored mostly with markers, and just a bit of chalk along the outer edge and inside the cake. The flowers at the bottom are the wooden flowers that I colored with a pink Sharpie. I drew a black swirl in the middle trying to mimic the look of the flowers on the coloring card. I used Star Dust Stickles on the background dots and randomly in the flowers. I used Ranger glossy accents on the big pink flowers and on the wooden flowers to give some dimension to them. I think it really makes all the difference. I just love how it turned out and I'm not sure the photo captures just how stinkin' cute it is.

Here is the tag. I used water colors on it. I attached it to a piece of Kraft paper to give it stability. The pink ribbon is from Adornit. It wouldn't lay right when I double knotted it, so I tied a piece of twine around it to secure it. Simple but cute.

The third project of the weekend is a pillow box gift card holder with an Adornit coloring card for the tag. I'm not sure if you can see the detail, but I outlined the quote with the Stickles. It really makes the tag pop.

Well that was my crafty weekend working with my swag from Adornit. Hope you see something that inspires you to be crafty too.

We are so excited to announce that we were chosen to be "IT" girls for Adornit !! If you are not familiar with them, they are located in Logan, Utah and the company  is a mom and her daughters that design fabric, scrapbook paper, color pages. They now have added a cute fashion section that carries the cutest clothes that even include plus sizes...for us bigger sisters haha. They will be sending us each a goody box that we use to create fun stuff and will be posting here and on our Facebook and Instagram pages.  Stay tuned as we share this awesome experience with you. If you have the chance post, comment and share our posts so that they can see we are trying hard to represent them and make them proud. This is one of my bucket list items, to be on a design team. Now just need to attend a CHA convention and I can die happy-Debbie
